The
number of foreign companies in Turkey increased significantly during the first
half of this year compared to the same period in 2017.
According
to data from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, the
number of companies established in the country with foreign capital during the
first half of this year increased by 103.7% compared to the same period last
year, to reach 5.782 companies.
According to the source, 580 of these companies are listed as " Joint stock companies " where the rest are " Limited liability companies" the Anatolia said.
The
first six months of the current world witnessed the establishment of 420
joint-stock companies, while the number of limited liability companies reached
2,684.
At
the level of the Turkish states where foreign companies were established,
Istanbul topped the list, followed by Bursa, Ankara, Izmir, Gaziantep, Antalya,
Hatay and Mersin.
In the recent years, the Turkish government has provided facilities and privileges to foreign capitalists to encourage and attract foreign investment.
